Weekly Standard's William Kristol to discuss civility, prospect for political center at IU Bloomington
On Friday, Feb. 24, William Kristol, editor at large of The Weekly Standard and a leading figure in U.S. political and policy circles for more than a quarter century, will participate in an IU Bloomington panel discussion from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall of the Indiana Memorial Union.
IU political scientist Aurelian Craiutu will moderate, and Paul Helmke of the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs will serve as a panelist for the discussion: "Where Do We Go From Here: A Conversation With Bill Kristol."
The IU Bloomington event is hosted by the university's Tocqueville Program, which focuses on the contemporary legacy of 19th-century French political philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville. The Ostrom Workshop, the Center for Representative Government, the Center on American Politics and the IU Bloomington Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President are providing support for Kristol's IU Bloomington visit.
